How to get joy?

Sure you do want joy, but the question is from where. Are you looking from within or without? Where are you looking? In body, yours or others, in sex, in food or money, in power or recognition? Where are you looking? If you are looking outside then keep looking; you will never find it. As joy isn’t out there, outside there is just illusion that it is; it is just a mirage, nothing more. The joy which comes from someone, joy which exists because of something or someone, is not joy; it is just titillation. Understand this difference between pleasure and joy, the difference between titillation and joy.

Joy is always without any cause. If there is a cause, then it is not joy.
