When we hear the word "Guru", it brings forth many different images/meanings based on our background and experience In literal terms, the word Guru means "the light which will take away your darkness". To elaborate, a Guru is one whose mind is clear, whose intellect is illuminated, who has banished darkness, and shares their knowledge about the "Eternal Light," or God.
