About the Album

Yog Nidra is an ancient tantric method which can open latent potentiality of the mind. Its regular practice can relieve one from stress, frustrations, insomnia, and psychosomatic diseases which have become a part of modern man's life. Most of the mental disturbances and psychosomatic diseases that people have these days are secondary to the fact that their mind is not stable, not balanced and they don’t know how to access the immense potentiality of their mind. So, they end up hurting themselves and hold other people as well as situations responsible for the turmoil.
Yog Nidra offers an opportunity to understand the mind and cut through its blind conditionings. It means sleeping with a trace of awareness. It is a kind of deep sleep in which you don't lose consciousness. Normally, people carry their frustrations, conflict, pain and turmoil with them when they go to sleep, and hence their sleep never goes deep. And due of this there remain great tension in their mind and body. The practice of Yog Nidra not only relaxes but restructures and reforms one's whole personality from within. It burns away old samskaras, habits and tendencies, paving the way to be born anew. If you practice Yoga Nidra persistently, then the very nature of your mind can be changed, diseases can be cured and your creative genius can be restored. It also results in releasing of all muscular, emotional and mental tensions. It is a very effective form of complete psychic and physiological rest and rejuvenation.
In Yog Nidra, the most effective means of training the mind is found in sankalpa (resolution). The mind is completely relaxed with heightened receptivity and hence it is easy to introduce the resolve. Anything in life can fail you but not your sankalpa, your resolve. When conscious mind and body is in deep relaxation, at that time whatever sankalpa (resolution) you will make will get fulfilled. The resolution you make at the beginning of the practice is like sowing a seed and the resolution at the end is like irrigating it.
In Yog Nidra, you do not have to concentrate or focus, rather you move your consciousness from one part of the body to another with effortless ease; concentration will rather create obstruction. Yog Nidra is for all those who wish to experience higher states of consciousness plus best of health. Revered master Anandmurti Gurumaa has presented this ancient method of Vinayasa and yoga, which is the greatest boon for all human beings, in an entirely contemporary way.
