A very special video of the meeting that took place in Gurumaa Ashram on 25th of October 2009, when the girls who are receiving help from Shakti got a chance to spend a day with revered master Anandmurti Gurumaa. It was indeed an event filled with love, care, gratitude and much more. As the girls expressed their thanks, Anandmurti Gurumaa lovingly made them understand that the mother is not to be thanked for the love and care she showers on the children. On this occasion, Anandmurti Gurumaa inspired and encouraged the girls to have clarity about their aims to be able to excel in life. As the girls had expressed their ambitions to become a doctor or a professional in various fields, Anandmurti Gurumaa assured them that Shakti would support their education up to the level they want to study. All girls were in tears of joy. The master also said that Shakti has pledged to support the complete education of any five girls who want to become doctors. Among the present girls, two had already made the decision to become doctors, so now three more can come under the fold. For the ones who want to do nursing courses, there is already Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Nursing Education, where Shakti gets the girls enrolled and educated. Anandmurti Gurumaa also shared the plan of Shakti to open a residential vocational training institute where the girls can undergo certified professional courses to gain the desired qualifications. Since it is a long term project, it needs a proper infrastructure and set-up to become functional. So all this will certainly need time, she said. Girls were introduced to Shakti Udaan, the institute which is providing certified vocational training courses to the girls in Kaithal at no charge. Currently 340 girls are attending the courses at Shakti Udaan. Courses vary from computer skills to sewing classes, amongst other choices. The sole aim is to empower the girls to be able to become self-reliant. Speaking to the mothers, Anandmurti Gurumaa made them realise that a woman is all-powerful and not at all weaker than a man. She is the creator, she nourishes, and she has the power to handle every situation on her own. She said, in case you are faced with any adverse situation in which you have lost your husband or son, there is no need to despair and loose your heart, but be strong and move on. Unfortunately, Indian society has some hard rules for the widow women since ages ago. Don't ever feel that you are alone; realise that God is always with you.
