In his immaculate way Guru sahib ardently calls all the human beings to join in the prayer. This heartfelt shabad is a part of Sodar sahib and is practiced everyday in the Sikh culture. In the evening times one offers this shabad to the Lord Almighty seeking the blessings for being on the path with unwavering conviction. With every passing day and night the death takes a step closer and the precious life is reduced to shreds.
Before the night falls Guru says pray to God that may our life be lead in love and devotion. Lord alone can show us the shore by uplifting the minds weaklings. He alone can empower us with the strength and power to walk this path. The light of wisdom can be reflected on us only with His grace.
This shabad invokes deep longing and love for Guru sahib. Anandmurti Gurumaa in her mellifluous voice and in sheer devotion sings this gurbani shabad which will enchant the listener to resounding peace.
